Set Space Permissions for Anon to read only

This HOWTO explains how you modify the Permissions on a Space that needs to be viewable to the public within Confluence. This HOWTO is helpful when adding a new space for a project or working group.

Prerequisites

You must be a Wiki administrator.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Click on the Administration button
  2. Choose "User Management"
  3. Enter your password to obtain administrative access
  4. Scroll down to "Space Permissions"
  5. Scroll to the space you are creating
  6. Click on "Manage permissions" for that space
  7. Scroll down to Anonymous Access
  8. Click "Edit Permissions"
  9. Only check the "View" box
