How to End of Life a project

Move project out of the Graduated or Incubating project section and put a link in the section below Incubating projects in the list of EOL projects.

Remove from drop down

Add a note on the main wiki page for the project about the project being EOL'ed and mention the date the TOC changed the status (see note on Quilt wiki for an example)

mark space as archived

change space permissions

Remove project from the relevant category page

Remove from the Landscape embedded on the main projects page (note that at some point the Landscape won't be embedded on the main Projects page for the site)

cancel all meetings in lists for example

send email telling folks the party is over – use the text from the note on the wiki page

lock the group

put a post in the appropriate channel – use the text from the note on the wiki page

Write a blog post thanking the maintainers and talking about what the project achieved – post a link to it to the project's list and Discord channel

Cancel meetings in zoom
