23.4.2 burning in
issue with flat db - new burn-in (23.4.3) starting today
issue with how PRs are reviewed and tested, especially big ones
testing was done, then review, then refactoring → error was introduced after testing
suggestion - do most of the review before most of the testing

4844 - work is progressing well. Spec still evolving. Up to devnet 6
PR is ready for review https://github.com/hyperledger/besu/pull/5536
devnet 6 has some forks (not just besu!). being investigated

No recent pushback about removing quarterly cycle
Would like to trial replacing quarterly cycle with a deprecation notice policy as a first step (suggested policy in the proposal link)
