Hyperledger Aries
- New version 0.10.1 of Aries Cloud Agent Python Released. Release 0.10.1 contains a breaking change, an important fix for a regression introduced in 0.8.2 that impacts certain deployments, and a number of fixes and updates. Included in the updates is a significant internal reorganization of the DID and connection management code that was done to enable more flexible uses of different DID Methods, such as being able to use did:web DIDs for DIDComm messaging connections. - Animo recently announced "Making Aries Framework Javascript a Global Framework". It is a call for sponsors and partners to make it easy to build EU suitable applications with Aries Framework JavaScript. Find out more here.

Hyperledger Indy
- The Hyperledger Indy community will hold the second Hyperledger Indy Summit next week on September 7, 2023. This event is a gathering for the entire community to talk about the current and future state of Indy. To find out more, register here.

The new Hyperledger Fabric Certified Practitioner (HFCP) exam will allow candidates to demonstrate their understanding of the fundamentals of blockchain technology, the Hyperledger Fabric model and networks, including designing production deployments. If you’d like to be notified as soon as the exam is available, you can sign up on the Hyperledger Fabric Certified Practitioner (HFCP) exam page. This is a new certification exam based on the latest Fabric release and replaces the previous Fabric Administrator and Fabric Developer certifications.
Events
Join a virtual Hyperledger meetup featuring Hart Montgomery, CTO of the Hyperledger Foundation, on Thursday, September 7 at 9AM Pacific. Hart will speak about the basics of decentralization and privacy on the blockchain, how decentralization is at the core of blockchain, what it means for security, the blockchain trilemma, and how to make sure you "get decentralization right" in blockchain. Hyperledger Identity SIG
- Last week, the Hyperledger Identity SIG was joined by Tram Vo, CEO and Co-Founder of MOBI. Along with the usual roundup of news and status from the identity ecosystem, Tram shared her company's work with DIDs, interop, IOT and their work on cross-industry business automation.
