A new blockchain benchmark tool called Diablo has recently been released. It can be used evaluate blockchain and distributed ledger technologies when running realistic applications. The code for Diablo is available as well as research paper that goes into the results of evaluating the performance of 6 state-of-the-art blockchains.  On Thursday, Feb 16 at 8:00 UTC, Andrei Lebedev, the lead developer, will talk about the new Diablo benchmark suite and the results of his research.

The Linux Foundation is hosting SustainabilityCon on May 10-12 in Vancouver as part of the Open Source Summit North America. If you're doing something related to sustainability using Hyperledger projects, this is a great opportunity to share what you are doing. Learn more about how to submit a speaking proposal for the event before the deadline of February 5. For more details about some of the sustainability work happening the community, check out this blog post about how Linux Foundation communities took part in last year's COP27 climate conference hosted by the UN.
