Meeting Notes

Continued discussion of which basis to use for the activity hierarchy. Decided to go with the IPCC's activity hierarchy.

Reminder: our aim is to describe how different impact calculations are being done, not to prescribe a certain calculation method(s).

Homework: see if we can find the IPCC, ISIC or GHG Scope 3 tables/categories in a format in which we can pull it into a database.

Next meeting: Describe (and distinguish) the calculators from 25 May's meeting according to the IPCC categories on which they report.

After next meeting: Do the same for agents and states, i.e.

  1. get/create a classification system for agents;
  2. describe the two exemplary calculators based on which agent categories they report;
  3. get/create a classification system for states;
  4. describe the two exemplary calculators based on which states/state categories/state types they report.

Maybe have a future discussion on how fiat currencies came to be "fiat", i.e. no longer backed by gold.
