8. Speaking Opportunities

Hello - Conference activities are ramping up in many parts of the world, and submission deadlines are coming up for a few different events that might be great platforms for this community:
OOP 2022 - The Conference for Software Architecture

OOP's theme this year is "The Time is Now," and it will explore the following questions: How do we deal with legacy systems today and prevent technical debts from accumulating? What kind of experiments allows us to discover and shape both innovative & sustaining architectures, features, programming languages or even organizational structures, ways of collaborating, and work environments? How can we ensure diversity & inclusion now and take our societal responsibility seriously? Thus, waiting (also caused by the pandemic) is not an option anymore, acting is. Case studies that describe experience in practice from all application domains including, but not limited to, transportation (aerospace, railway, automotive, ...), telecommunications, finance & insurance, industrial automation, mobile computing, government, as well as medical and life sciences are particularly welcome.

Proposals should either be technical and oriented towards software architects, or targeted at project leaders / decision makers who work in an enterprise environment. The participants expect an excellent overview of the state-of-the-art in modern software engineering. The sessions should focus either on promising concepts for the future or on cutting-edge techniques that are suitable for practical use today.

OOP 2022, January 31 – February 4, 2022, ICM – International Conference Center Munich, German. The deadline for submitting for this show is July 5. You can find the CFP here.

 Open Source Strategy Forum

Open Source Strategy Forum (OSSF) is the only conference dedicated to driving collaboration and innovation in financial services through open source software and standards. We bring together experts across financial services, technology, and open source to engage our community in stimulating and thought-provoking conversations about how to best (and safely) leverage open source software to solve industry challenges.

OSSF is being held twice in 2021 – in person: London, October 4-5 and New York, November 9-10. The deadline for submitting for these shows is July 11. You can find the CFP here.

We would like to keep track of submissions, so please also email us at pr@hyperledger.org about any speakers you've proposed or plan to propose speakers for these events.
