Introduction to Learning Materials Working Group:  Learning Materials Development Working Group

The Learning Materials Development working group reports to the Hyperledger Technical Steering Committee. It is focused on developing open source training material (licensed as specified by the Hyperledger Charter) to educate people interested in expanding their knowledge of Hyperledger and its projects. The working group will consult with other Hyperledger working groups, Hyperledger team members, and the project maintainers to identify training needs and develop strategies, as well as, material to address those needs. The output of this working group will be targeted towards both technical and non-technical audiences.

Hyperledger India Chapter i"Blockchain Stories 2021

On 04th December, Saturday at 10:30 AM IST, we have our next session. The session is all about blockchain in AgriTech, sustainable supply chain solutions. Speakers for the day include Ganesh Harinath - Founder Fiducia AI, Aravind Vorugati - VP of Blockchain Practice and Products at IDS Inc, Deep Chenna - Chief Product Officer at Koinearth, Si Chen - President at Open Source Strategies, also Chair of Climate Action SIG at Hyperledger. The session will also cover Hyperledger mentorship updates from Shritesh. The event will end with an open networking break and celebrations.

The first in the Hyperledger Foundation Community Workshop series, Intro to Decentralized Identity is a four hour online course to introduce the core concepts and principles of decentralized identity. As you progress, you’ll learn how to use the SelfServe and indyscan network tools, be introduced to the Indy Command Line Interface (Indy CLI) and install and run the Aries toolbox to create, issue, and verify a verifiable credential.

Topics include:

  • Decentralized identity concepts and principles
  • The verifiable credential data model
  • Decentralized identity ecosystem
  • Network tools indyscan and SelfServe
  • Intro to Indy CLI
  • What Hyperledger Aries is
  • Install and run Aries Toolbox
  • Create connections and issue a credential
  • How to verify credential

Workshop description:

This second course in a series, is a four-hour course that advances your skills related to coding with Hyperledger Indy Node. It also familiarizes you with commonly used cryptography libraries contained in Hyperledger Ursa and an overview of the Plenum ledger.

Topics will include:

  • Install Indy SDK
  • Introduction to libindy, indycli etc
  • Indy VDR (replacement for Indy SDK)
  • Learning about Hyperledger Indy Node
  • Making changes to Hyperledger Indy Node code
  • Build and IndyTest the changes locally
  • How to get involved in the community further with chats, helplines, and meetings

Preparation:

Participants must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Linux
  • Install docker
  • Install Indy-CLI
  • Download repos
