Project plan - Learning Tokens

Abstract

Learning Tokens is a mechanism that uses the composable Interwork Alliance Token Taxonomy Framework (IWA TTF) to produce a Learning Token as a positive reinforcer that recognizes, registers, and rewards community engagement in collective learning, and also certifying skills acquisition and competencies.

  • Gathering IWA partners, GBBA GSMI Area 4, Hyperledger Foundation, and Linux Foundation to comment upon our token definitions.

Evaluation 4:

  • Final Report, written and Meetup Presentation.

  • We had a meetup with the Hyperledger Latinoamérica Regional Chapter, where we talked about Learning Tokens and IWA, and the process of creating new definitions of tokens with the IWA Token Designer. Link: 
  • We also had virtual meetup and workshop with our partners in Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas (UCA) to discuss Learning Tokens as lab, and start a small pilot implementation of Learning Tokens for different courses given by the institution. Link:

  • After we had our meetups and workshop with Hyperledger Latinoamérica Regional Chapter and UCA, my mentor and I discussed the creation of the Report of Business Case and Economic Model. (Which is in progress)

  • My mentor and I started to create an initial business definition of the target tokens for our pilot implementation with UCA.

  • Review with Focal Points initial business definition of the targeted tokens.

  • Once we had our initial business definition of the targeted tokens, we had a meeting with our sponsor to review our definitions, and ask for eThaler's implementation. 
8July 24 - July 30
  • Report of Final Business Definition of the Targeted Tokens.

  • After a couple of meetings with our partners and sponsors, we gathered the necessary information to create our Business definition of the Targeted Tokens. Now, we're starting our the next phase, which involves reusing existing artifacts and creating new ones to implement our token definitions.

Methodology

My work strategy for the following 24 weeks are based on the following premises:

  • Following and completing each activity described on the timeline and on each milestone as it is. 
  • As I start working on each task, I'll keep in touch with my mentor, and we'll meet every week once or twice to discuss ideas.
  • Documenting every meeting and work that is part of the mentorship to keep everything transparent and clear.
  • If something unexpected comes up, I'll get in touch right away with my mentor, so we can find a suitable solution to keep up with everything.
