Hyperledger Mediterranean and South Europe

The Hyperledger  Mediterranean and South Europe Chapter is responsible for growing the Hyperledger community in Mediterranean and South Europe, promoting contributions to Hyperledger projects and providing a platform for collaboration, mentoring and support. The chapter aims to showcase the broad range of Hyperledger projects and initiatives to the Mediterranean and South European audience. 

Goals

The goals of the Chapter are:

• Identify region-specific contribution barriers and work with Hyperledger staff to overcome them, e.g. Tools, time zones or language
• Overlooking organization of meetups in the region
• Support local events and organize regional events
• Providing guidance and support to people who want to learn more about Hyperledger
• Collecting Hyperledger use cases, educate the community on ways they can promote their work within Hyperledger (blog, blockchain showcase, etc.)
• Handling the translation of any Hyperledger resources to local languages

The following weekly meetings are conducted under the auspices of the Mediterranean and South Europe Chapter (updated times and other details can be found on the Hyperledger Calendar) :

The Chapter has also been conducting National e-meetups, with the goal of getting the entire country on the same platform, listening to and learning from the latest developments in the blockchain space.

Collaborating with other groups

This Working Group will collaborate with other Hyperledger working groups, the TSC, Linux Foundation staff, and the project maintainers.  Marta Geater-Piekarska will be the main staff point of contact for the group and will be available to make sure this group is plugged in where needed and is not duplicating efforts.
