Technology Architecture TF — Wenjing Chu Drummond Reed
Example- Continuing work on ToIP Technology Architecture Specification V1.0
Canonical Use Cases for the ToIP Stack
is largely done (just final comments cleanup). is largely ready (awaiting TEv2 tooling from the Concepts and Terminology WG to apply it to the spec).Work on the third generation ToIP stack diagram is ongoing (very active discussions in the Governance Architecture TF).
Trust Registry TF — Andor Kesselman Antti Kettunen Darrell O'Donnell
- Registry of Registries concept being explored - this may be different than the Trust Registry Protocol or just an extension.Deliverables Planned:
- Trust Registry Protocol Specification
- Trust Registry Protocol Companion Guide
- Profile Discovery Specification
Trust Spanning Protocol TF — Drummond Reed Wenjing Chu Samuel Smith
- Two presentations (one for Muggles and one for Wizards) were giving on the TSP at Internet Identity Workshop (see links above). Wenjing continues to make steady progress on the Working Draft.
- Deliverable is the ToIP Trust Spanning Protocol Specification
- The keystone of the entire ToIP stack
- See the 18 requirements in the ToIP Technology Architecture Spec V1.0
- Updates for ACDC spec revised format workflow.
- KERI spec is first, PRs are up and comments would be great!
- The AIM Task Force just submitted its response to US Copyright Office’s RFC on “Artificial Intelligence and Copyright”. Here is the link if you are interested in a read. Wenjing plans to publish a blog post to make it more accessible to ToIP members. For more related discussions, please join the AIM Task Force #tswg-aim-tfAI and Metaverse Task Force (AIMTF) has an outstanding call for participation: Authentic Generative AI initiative proposes to study and specify approaches and methods to enhance authenticity & trustworthiness of GAI.
- Judith reported that the TF has put together an extensive spreadsheet of the four major protocols. They are now discussing the details and trying to extract the most important details for specific audiences.
- Kevin reported that at IIW, Markus Sabadello did a fantastic demo of did:webs, showing how it protects against attacks on the DID document. The link is https://github.com/peacekeeper/did-webs-iiw37-tutorial
- There is discussion going on about a universal "Whois" capability for DIDs.
- The TF is getting close to have a finished spec.Rationale for this new TF: The founders realized they could fix the security flaws of the did:web method by “tunneling” a self-certifying AID (autonomic identifier) inside a did:web URL
- The goal is reach a 1.0 release of the specification by December 15, 2023
