The word taxonomy is used to describe the process of classification of entities or concepts including a rationale for such classification. There can be multiple taxonomies based on the criteria used for classification. In the first cut, this classification relies on the flow of securities, i.e. tokens that encode rights and obligations to the underlying cash-flows from business activities. The flow is:
