 Presentation

Two topics were presented at this meeting hosted by the carbon accounting and supply chain - trade finance SIGS. The first presentation was provided by SimWell a global leader in the design and development of digital twins. The second presentation, much shorter in time, gave an overview of the joint CA2SIG - SCTF project developing an architecture for a digital twin composed of Hyperledger platforms to decarbonize / remove greenhouse gas emissions of supply chains toward the objective of “Net-Zero”.

The first presentation was provided by SimWell presenting their extensive experience in delivering digital twin solutions for supply chain, sustainability, and other use cases. They continue to provide Digital Twins to simulate real-world logistics, forecast emissions impacts, and optimize operations for both efficiency and environmental responsibility. SimWell provided detail on the benefits of digital twins in advancing supply chain optimization and sustainability initiatives, reinforcing the technical and strategic value such models bring to climate-focused innovation.

The second presentation provided a very short over view on the progress of the CA2SIG - SCTF SIG project producing a digital twin architecture as a blueprint to enable supply chains to reach the objective of “net-zero” greenhouse gas emissions. This architecture focuses on LFDT-Hyperledger platforms and tools and cascades from a “reference” architecture to “technical”. A presentation is scheduled for October to detail this project effort and make available the project artifact containing the entire architecture deliverable packet.

This meeting was conducted over LFDT MeetUp and the Supply Chain-Trade Finance SIG Zoom link. Attendance was in the range of 250.
