Distributed ledger technologies (DLT) holds significant potential to deliver benefits for humanitarian aid, development, and civil society institutions in general. This panel discussion will go over ways to use the open and collaborative nature of DLT to unlock social good. We will explore burgeoning use cases, barriers to innovation, and sustainment issues of the social good economy. The purpose of this discussion is to spur innovation, tackle never before addressed issues, and serve as a launching pad for future innovation.

Maybe in some cases network users may not have the ability to maintain and secure the network, they may need an authority(govt, ngo, private entity) who does that for them. What standards, guidelines would you propose to make sure authority behaves in a just way and doesn't compromise the ability of DLT ? 2). How to deal with situations when after a certain time the interests of network users and the authority don’t align (conflict resolution) . For example, if users want a new consensus model which would remove the authority or change the authority or limit their power ? 3). How important do you think guidelines, standards and frameworks are? And what challenges would it pose in convincing the authorities ? |
