Meeting Overview
We’re kicking off the New Year with a presentation on DAML, a data modeling language for DLT’s, along with an example Supply Chain scenario. A description of its features can be find right on their website here. DAML can integrate with Hyperledger Fabric, R3 Corda and other DLT platforms. Digital Assets, the company behind DAML will be presenting. The following is a background on who will be presenting.
An Introduction to Digital Asset, DAML-Driven Standards, and Modeling Supply Chain Workflows
In this session, Andrew Pisano (Business Development Director) will highlight key milestones in Digital Asset's journey from inception to enterprise DLT leader and provide an overview of DAML, the developer's choice for modeling smart contracts; Beth Sendra (Product Manager) will describe how DAML is being adopted by standards organizations; and Levente Barczy (Client Engineer) will demonstrate how easy it is to model supply chain applications in DAML.
Andrew Pisano is a Business Development Director at Digital Asset in New York. He is responsible for establishing and growing the company’s strategic relationships with clients, partners, industry groups and strategic alliances in the Americas. Before Digital Asset, Andrew worked in a number of different roles at CME Group, the world's largest derivatives exchange and clearinghouse. There, Andrew helped formulate and execute on the firm's blockchain strategy. Andrew earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Management and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University.
Levente (Leve) Barczy is a Client Engineer at Digital Asset in New York. In his role, Leve uses his technical and financial subject-matter expertise to understand and solve a client’s business challenges. He has 15 years of experience working in software development, product and program management at financial institutions and financial technology vendors. Before Digital Asset, Leve worked for risk analytics vendor Murex where he was a risk and collateral subject-matter expert who served as a conduit between his clients and the company’s quants and engineers who developed and programmed risk models and software solutions. Leve earned a Master of Science in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Stanford University.
Beth Sendra is a Product Manager at Digital Asset in New York. Beth was one of Digital Asset’s first employees, joining before its launch in 2014. Prior to joining the Product team where she works on designing and building solutions, she spent nearly three years as Head of Business Development. Before Digital Asset, Beth was the Editor for a derivatives publication and extensively reported on the financial markets across equities, FX, credit, rates and global financial regulation for Derivatives Week, GlobalCapital Derivatives and Institutional Investor.
