The first in the Hyperledger Foundation Community Workshop series, Intro to Decentralized Identity is a four hour online course to introduce the core concepts and principles of decentralized identity. As you progress, you’ll learn how to install a local Hyperledger Indy-based network, be introduced to the Indy Command Line Interface (Indy CLI) and install and run the Aries toolbox to create, issue, and verify a verifiable credential.
Topics include:
Decentralized identity concepts and principles
The verifiable credential data model
Decentralized identity ecosystem
Git repo -> Indy-node
Install a local network
Intro to Indy CLI and how to use the CLI to access your new network
What Hyperledger Aries is
Install and run Aries Toolbox
Create connections and issue a credential
How to verify credential
Preparation:
Participants must meet the following prerequisites:
Linux
Install docker
Install Indy-CLI
Download repos
One of the workshop facilitators will be available to answer any questions regarding the prerequisites during the following times
