Ans: Success would be a situation where the project is able to positively impact the lives of the selected community and do so while also making sure the donors feel good about their contribution. This would be possible only if the app functions seemlessly without any glitches or faults that would deter away possible donors. The success of the project lies in whether it is able to have significant impact on the selected community such that people see the need to deploy it elsewhere and other charity organizations look to it for ideas on how to improve their own operations.

Cover letter for LFX mentorship

I am currently a junior in college, studying Information Technology. For all my life, my biggest fear has been that I will not find a career that I like. Two years ago, while listening to a podcast about a regular guy who wanted to run for President (Andrew Yang) it clicked, I wanted to be in public service, not as a candidate but as someone who drafts and executes the policy. Even though I hold a US passport, since I live and study in India, it has been very hard for me to break into that sector given how important it is to be on the ground in the US to make any progress. I realized that my only way into the industry would be to leverage my current standing as an IT grad. That is when I came across the concept of blockchain and it blew my mind. It is a form of technology that brings the power back into the hands of the people, not just a few influential or rich ones, but every single person involved, regardless of your influence. It showed me a way of using my knowledge of computer programming to help better advance the people without any power. I now know exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life, it is to propagate the values of blockchain into the political sphere and get it into the conversation. My goals are extremely difficult and will take a long time and a lot of effort. My journey began two months ago when I started my learning about blockchain. I have since completed many courses that each tackled a different aspect of the technology: the programming side, the internal governance/inner working of the technology and the business and real-world applications. Now the next step in my journey is to start meeting, discussing, and working with people in the field so that I can gain the experience needed to work my way through the industry. Hyperledger was the perfect place to start, it offered me unfettered access to some of the brightest minds in the industry as well as an almost infinite number of resources to learn from. This is where I came across the Givingchain, which I feel is the perfect place to lay my groundwork as It combines my most inner desire to help people with my love for blockchain technology. Givingchain would allow me to directly help communities in need and that is an opportunity I cannot let pass by me. I do hope that I am given the chance to do so.

Apart from blockchain, my knowledge of business management and public policy will help me assess projects to see if they are ready for public engagement.
