There's the event of the activity, and then there's the event of the state change caused by the activity on some environment.

It only becomes an impact once it is explicitly associated with an agent or an activity as its cause.

Evidence can be physical (e.g., the presence of some material) or in the form of sworn statements (affidavits, witness accounts) by other agents.

A thing is never a substantiation in itself, as e.g., an agent or an activity or an instrument is a thing in itself. When a thing is presented as a substantiation to a claim, the connection between that thing and the claim is best expressed as a relationship.
