HC-SIG Subgroup Updates
Patient/Member Subgroup (Deniz Coskun, Lead)
Deniz updated the group on their work with an e-consent solution using both Hyperledger Sawtooth and Hyperledger Fabric for their POCs. The expectation is to have aspects of the team's work represented at the upcoming Hyperledger Global Forum. As well, there are some plans to have the Patient Subgroup and the Payer Subgroup collaborate on future presentations.
Payer Subgroup (Raveesh Dewan, Lead)
Raveesh provided an update on their work within the subgroup. The plan is to narrow down some specific use cases in the payer space as they relate to payor-patient engagement, and develop a solution from there. Erika offered her services as a pharmD to help in this effort.
Healthcare Interoperability Subgroup (Steven Elliott, Lead)
Rich updated to the group on the work of the HIS, lead by Steven. In their most recent meeting, Guillermo Diaz presented on his work in Mexico and their proposed healthcare solutions using blockchain technologies. Details of that presentation can be found here.

Old Business
- 2020 HC-SIG Membership Survey is Live!
- While 2019 has been a very productive year within Hyperledger and our own HC-SIG, we're hoping to make 2020 a more engaging and educational year for everyone. With
- a very large and diverse international membership of healthcare professionals interested in identifying and using blockchain technologies in general, and the Hyperledger greenhouse of frameworks and tools in specific, I believe we have yet to tap the true potential of what we can do collectively to shape our global healthcare community.
To make full use of such great potential, we need your insight and guidance. Please take some time now to participate in our 2020 HC-SIG Membership Survey - Discussion: are you interested in helping with starting an Ad Hoc Survey Team with the goal of updating our annual membership survey? If so, let us know!Your input will set the direction for our 2020 membership year, so please consider this as critical to the ongoing growth and success of the HC-SIG.
- The survey will remain open until 2020.02.14
